I didn’t hear this band until 2000, most likely because it took them a while to establish a fan base outside of Louisiana. Holy crap this album is heavy. Not since the Melvins Bullhead or Crowbar’s entire catalog has something so devastatingly heavy been created. Fuzzy, chunky, downtuned grungy guitars, mind-blowing vocals, and suicidally depressing lyrical subject matter. The lead singer Dax’s voice reminds me of a cross between Type O Negative’s singer, Danzig, and Carcass’s frontman. The opening track, “The Blue” is a small piece of stoner rock heaven and most of the songs afterward follow suit. The only soft tracks are “Scream of the Butterfly” and “The Bones of Babydolls” which I didn’t care for too much, they were just distracting. Now, along to a couple of the tracks that stand out, in my opinion. “Tranquilized” is probably the most accessible song on here, a cool groove metal track that slows to a sludgy crawl in the end. “Cheap Vodka” is an up-tempo hardcore song,

Which DAW software/program would you guys recommend for home studio music creation/beat making?
I want to make my own music to put to mine and my groups lyrics but ive never used computer software before and i figure its gotta be more versatile than using just a beat machine. I Acid ableton Battery have an akai professional MPK49 that came with Ableton Live Lite but i had no idea what i was doing since the MPK didn't come with instructions. its preset with other DAWs like Reason, Acid Pro, etc. But i want something that's good for HIP HOP and R&B. Ive been leaning toward Reason and Native Instruments Maschine but if any of you have any suggestions im open to them. And also if anyone know where i can get info on how to program my MPK i would appreciate that too. I already tried the akai website but they don't seem to have any tutorials for using it.

This album is a tribute to Lords of Acid’s unique sound. They have evolved to a richer and fuller sound that is pleasant to listen to if you are a LOA fan. As always the lyrics are comical and filled with explict thoughts and ideas, which stimulates the listener’s sense of imagination.

Here is the latest installment( if you don’t count all the remix and greatest hits LP’s) from LOA. A pretty good album. It seems that Jade4U is out of the band completely, but their new singer Deborah Ostrega is smokin hot, and sounds twice as sexy! Try and catch a live show if you can, it’s outstanding. It seems, from some of the material printed on the case, that all they care about is the money. I guess you can’t blame them. But as long as they continue to put out good music than I’ll keep buying it.

Ordered this album for my co-worker. He appreciates it very much. Thanks for fast delivery.

This album was a big dissapointment. They changed the members of the group and it just isn’t the same. I miss the old Lords of Acid.
