I am so excited to see that a Jerry Fish album is finally available in the U.S. I became aware of this awesome band when a friend from Ireland sent me a live album of theirs. I have been hooked ever since. The Mudbug Club’s sound is the most similar to the Asylum Street Spankers, with a frontman whose voice calls to mind the raspy-voiced troubadour Tom Waits. They play music that is, at different times, jazzy, bluesy and swinging. But all of it is great to dance to. The group has a universally appealing sound that gets into your head and just generally makes you feel good.

If you’re looking for a classic album that won’t get old, this is definitely the CD for you. It can be played in the car, at home, and at parties. “Be Yourself” is truly an album for all seasons.
