I highly recommend digidesign Xpand 2. I think it was the best investment I did.


what is a better computer-based digital recording system: e-mu systems, digidesign m-audio or another system?
i've been exploring e-mu systems' emulator and proteus software... as well as digidesign's pro-tools... digidesign Xpand 2 but i'm put off by digidesign's m-audio and how it requires m-audio hardware - also the e-mu hardware appears to be more capable and of a higher quality... i want to use vst files, sequence, sample, etc. on a platform that is very capable and stable on the computer...need professional input. please only respond if you actually have knowledge and experience involving this subject-matter.
