This CD replayed the entire show for us – and what a wonderful show it was! The sound, sequencing, everything was so accurate that we felt we were experiencing the whole Broadway show again. Our family enjoyed this cd, and have listened to it many times over again and again. The older ones have learned the words to their favorites!
Video tripod guidance needed for corporate use?
Please only answer this question if you are a professional or an experienced amateur/prosumer video producer. Please tell me the basis for your answers.I've got a small digital video camera for which I am trying to source a tripod.I was originally trying to source a fluid head with a spirit digital Producer Video level at the head, but then found out I can order a cross spirit level that will clip into the hot shoe on my camera.I am thinking that I can do without the level on the tripod if I have one on the camera - do you agree? Are there any makes and models (I'm based in Australia) that you could recommend? The camera is a small one - a Panasonic NV-GS300 - about 14 cm by 6cm by 7 cm. The tripod is necessary because the execs want to do talking head to camera pieces for use on the 'net. I want a fluid head because I want to be able to do smooth movements when zooming and there is the likelyhood that I'll want to pan and zoom across photos and documents in macro mode.

I realize that this version of The Producers is a remake of the old one with Gene Wilder, but really, it’s almost like a totally different movie. This time, the movie feels bigger and more epic than before. It’s about two Broadway producers, and you get a big Broadway feel with this version. The music is full and brassy and just amazing, and there are virtually no tracks that I have found that I don’t think are amazing. Of course, I have my favorites — “Keep It Gay” and “King of Broadway” ranking high on my list. Even Will Ferrel and Uma Thurman prove to not be half bad at singing with their numbers — Will Ferrel’s “Haben Sie Gehört das Deutsche Band?” is just great in every way.
Highly recommended for those who loved the movie, this is a great example of a soundtrack done right, with virtually every song, and even some of the humorous dialogue thrown in, this will have you listening over and over again.

When I watched this film I loved it so much I watched it 3 times in a week and had to purchase the soundtrack. It is rare that when a Broadway show is made into a movie the soundtrack is as good as for the broadway show. Here it is. In the film the songs and production numbers shine brightly with dazzling sparkle and spirit lifting passion. That energy and pleasure comes across 100% with this soundtrack of the film.
Of course the biggest hits here are having the gifted Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick reprising their Broadway roles. The performances on this soundtrack are amazing. After seeing the movie I couldn’t get the excellent music out of my head. And playing this cd I get to relive it over and over.
The best number is Matthew Broderick’s tour de force singing and dancing in the huge production number I WANNA BE A PRODUCER and is just as glorious on cd. There is not a miss here but I must note some other personal favorites. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick have perfect chemistry and it shines in WE CAN DO IT and TIL HIM. Matthew and Uma Thurman have a great time on the romantic THAT FACE. KEEP IT GAY, SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER and BETRAYED are all also amazing. All the songs are done with the greatest care. Broadway is alive and well in the transition to this film and this soundtrack is a joyful, feel good, highly entertaining experience.

If you loved the movie version of the Producers, you will love the soundtrack. The music of Mel Brooks as sung by Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Will Ferrell, Uma Thurman is outstanding. This is a wonderful soundtrack, I can listen to it over and over again!
