connect ydp 223 yamaha piano to laptop?
piano: ydp 223 yamahalaptop: p7811fx gateway , vistaI already got some record software like Cubase, Nero Wave Editor, Audacity. I already bought the MIDI USB cable. here it is: http://www.eavyexpress.com/product_info.php?language=en¤cy=USD&products_id=433However, I cant find the "midi in", "line in",or Yamaha Cubase audiogram3 "audio input" in the record feature of such program! in the NeroWaveEditor, in the record mode, I did see the "Audio input line", BUT, there is only one option: "master volume", nothing else!!!!It seems to be the piano is not recognized by the laptop. I tried to install the piano driver, sadly, vista is not supported by the driver !_!so, what should I do in order to get laptop and piano connected?do I need an external sound card?or did i buy the wrong cable?thanks in advance for every answer!10 points for answer help me solve the problem!i am using vista, that's why I cant find such thing like "double click on the sound icon, click properties, chose record...." :( :(
