    Delta Goodrem’s story is a remarkable one. She survived Hodgkin’s lymphoma, facing her own “carpe diem” (seize the day) “In this life” was inspired by her struggle. Delta learned to embrace life, to see everything that’s precious and meaningful.

    “In this life” shows Delta as a singer with much promise. Granted, it’s an overproduced acoustic folk rock ballad, but it showcases her beautiful voice. “In this life” has an uplifting message. Unfortunately,it’s rather bland, generic… and forgettable. It’s not a memorable song. There’s nothing distinctive about it,though Delta is from Australia.

    “In this life” shows that Delta has promise for success in this life. Hopefully,she’ll seize the day, and let her true talents shine.
